Dunbar Borough Election Update

There were two Republican candidates for mayor in Dunbar Borough in the Primary. Andy Lowry defeated Norman E. Gordon by a vote of 38-22, but both men also ran write-in campaigns on the Democratic ticket, where Gordon received 36 votes and Lowry got 22 votes, meaning the two men will square off again in November.

There were three Democrats and one Republican seeking the party nominations for borough council for the four available seats, with all winning the nominations.

They are Democrats A. Robert Opst with 69 votes, Jason Bartholomai with 63 votes, and Luvis McGarrity with 44 votes.

Republican Scott Dunn received 47 votes.

No write-in candidates received enough votes to appear on the ballot.
